The Fête de la Musique was born in France on 21st of June 1982 and the event quickly turned into a real social phenomenon.
Therefore, every year, on 21 June, the summer solstice day, the Music Festival is celebrated in Europe to gives welcome at the beginning of summer season. Music Festival is a party where musicians of every kinds, professional and not, performs on the more unusual and more spontaneous stage: streets, courtyards, alleys, squares, hospitals, museums, prisons.
This Festival is a popular festival, it is a moment of sociality, creativity, social and cultural education.
THE MUSIC FESTIVAL in TODI, 16 - 17 - 18 and 20 June
The project of Della Giacoma Study Center consists in involving artists from Todi, Umbria, Lazio, Lombardy, the United States and Korea in a real musical relay where folk music chase after jazz, swing, flamenco and band music; where the corners, squares, streets and courtyards of the city become natural settings, reopened and rediscovered by citizens and tourists.
